Homelessness in its broadest sense is an issue faced by people who lack a place to live that is supportive, affordable, decent and secure. Whilst rough sleepers are the most visible homeless population, the vast majority of homeless people in the UK are in temporary accommodation such as hostels and bed and breakfasts or sleeping on people’s sofas or kitchen floors.
