Creating Healthy Places and Spaces Webinar

This webinar from the Welsh Health Impact Assessment Unit helped participants to understand the contribution that planning and placemaking can make to address some of the major health challenges facing communities.

Our environment, both natural and built, has a huge influence on our health and well-being and so planning and design is an important way of enabling people to live in healthy places and spaces.
This webinar highlighted:

• The information, resources and support that is available to help increase collaboration and joint working between spatial planners and health professionals
• The importance of engaging and involving the community
• How delivering an evidenced based placemaking approach to development helps to create healthier places and lifestyle choices
