Love your health – Learning Disability Wales Annual Conference 2023

Our annual conference this year will be on the theme of health and well-being of people with a learning disability. 

We know that people with a learning disability tend to have poorer health compared to those without, and they are at a higher risk of developing various health conditions. Much of this is preventable by things like: 

• Annual Health Checks 
• Accessible health promotion 
• Specialist training for health and social care staff  
• Improved access to healthcare 
• Support to live more active and socially engaged lives

Do you want to get involved?

We are looking for people and organisations in Wales who want to contribute to this conference. 

Would you like to give a talk, run a workshop or show a film about your work or experience of health and well-being? 

Your contribution could be about: 

• Good work that is helping to improve health and well-being
• Problems that people with a learning disability face to do with their health and well-being
• Personal stories
• Useful research into health and well-being issues.
