In 2018 Wales had a population of approximately 81,000 Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT+) people (StatsWales, 2020). LGBT+ people have the same health needs as straight people but research shows the LGBT+ population are at greater risk of some physical and mental health conditions.
