The Unequal Pandemic: COVID-19 and Health Inequalities

In this webinar Clare Bambra, Professor of Public Health, Faculty of Medical Sciences, Newcastle University, examines the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic for health inequalities. The historical and contemporary evidence of inequalities in pandemics is outlined and the likely unequal health impacts of the economic crisis are explored, and the longer term public health policy responses needed to ensure that the COVID-19 pandemic does not increase health inequalities for future generations is reflected upon.
