Beyond the present: How to apply long-term thinking to reduce health inequalities in the future

Thursday 13th June 2024
With Public Health Network Cymru

We are facing challenging times in Wales, with our healthcare services, wider public sector, and third sector under unprecedented strain. This makes it more important than ever, but also harder than ever, to balance managing the crises of today with preventing the crises of the future. There are tools and resources that can help us do this. If you want to learn about them, please join us on this webinar.

Learning Outcomes:
That there are plenty of futures techniques which can help us think long-term and anticipate, prepare for, and address challenges in the future with our decision-making today.

Chair:
Marie Brousseau-Navarro – Deputy Commissioner and Director for Health, Future Generations Commissioner for Wales

Speakers:
Petranka Malcheva – Senior Policy Officer, Policy and International Health, WHO Collaborating Centre for Health and Wellbeing, Public Health Wales
Sophia Bird – Principal Health Promotion Specialist, Public Health Wales
Tom Moses – CWBR Youth Coordinator – Planed
