Public Health Wales’ International Health Forum

Wednesday 20th May 2026
With Public Health Network Cymru

The International Health Forum promotes the experiences of colleagues across Public Health Wales, sharing their learnings from engaging in international health activities and research and provides time to discuss opportunities for the future to engage in international partnerships working and networks.

Learning Outcomes

  • Better understand how international health issues and global policy developments affect population health and public health practice in Wales.
  • Apply International Learning to Welsh Contexts – Identify relevant international evidence, case studies and approaches that could inform policy, practice or system improvement in Wales.
  • Recognise Wales’s Contribution Globally – Describe how Wales contributes to global health through partnerships, collaboration and shared learning, and how this strengthens health outcomes at home.
  • Build and Strengthen Partnerships – Identify opportunities for collaboration with international partners and understand how to engage through existing networks and programmes.
  • Reflect on Global Responsibility and Equity – Awareness of health equity, sustainability and global responsibility principles in public health decision-making.
