Rural Health and Care Wales Conference 2022 - Royal Welsh Showground

Learning from the Past, Looking to the future – a focus on best practice, innovation and research that is driving delivery of health and care services in rural Wales

This year’s Rural Health and Care Wales Conference will be held in hybrid format, with people able to attend on-line or in person at the Montgomery Pavilion, Royal Welsh showground, Llanelwedd, Builth Wells, Powys, LD2 3SY.

Theme and strands:

  • Lessons learnt from the Covid-19 pandemic and their impact on Rural Health and Care
  • The delivery of integrated Health and Care services in Rural areas
  • The role of Rural Communities in Health and CareTelehealth / Telemedicine and the remote delivery of Health and Care services in Rural areas
  • Social / Green Prescribing and their impact on Health and Wellbeing
  • Recruitment, Retention and New Roles in Health and Care in Rural areas
  • Education, Training and Continuous Professional Development for Health and Care professionals working in Rural Areas

This year’s Conference will again include a Panel session attended by Chief Executives of the 3 health boards in Mid Wales (Betsi Cadwaladr UHB, Powys Teaching Health Board and Hywel Dda UHB), in addition to 5 other Plenary sessions, 23 Paper presentations and over 30 Poster presentations.

The conference is aimed at health and care professionals, academics, practitioners, patients and the public with an interest in rural health, well-being and care. Tickets for the Conference can be purchased below, with only a minimal charge being raised towards catering for those attending in person.
